30th NOVEMBER, NATIONAL DAY OF SCOTLAND

The 30th of November the Scottish celebrate their national day. It is also Saint Andrew’s day, patron Saint of Scotland. In fact, the national flag of Scotland is the Cross of St. Andrew, a white diagonal (X-shaped) cross on a blue background.

Where can we find the Scottish flag? The flag of the UK is a combination of the flags of England (the cross of St. George), Scotland (the cross of St. Andrew), and Ireland (the cross of St. Patrick). It is called the Union Jack. This red, white, and blue flag was first used in 1801.
